TENNIS: Armuchee boys, girls sweep past Chattooga

The Armuchee tennis teams got easy wins with the girls and boys winning 5-0 over Chattooga.

On the girls’ side, Elizabeth Moser, Kristen Shiflett and Clara Simpkins won at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 singles, respectively.

In doubles, the team of Morgan and Maggie Stansell won at the No. 1 spot, and Kayla Rogers and Katherine Clonts got a win at the No. 2.

For the boys, Armuchee got wins from No. 1 Hayden Childre, No. 2 Austin Ruth and No. 3 Cedrick Boehm.

Carston Boehm and Josh Day won at No. 1 doubles, and Matthew Smith and Bob Patel were victorious at No. 2.

The Armuchee girls (4-0) and boys (2-2) play Temple on Thursday.
