Now, the Lions are set to test out Death Valley.
The Unity Christian squad will play at Model High’s newly-named field on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. when they host a key conference game against the Paulding Panthers.
It is the make-up game for the contest that was canceled on September 26 due to storms in the area.
The Lions, playing their first season of varsity football, will carry a 2-3 record into the game.
The UCS 9-10-year-old and 11-12-year-old teams and cheerleaders will be recognized during halftime of Thursday’s game.
The Lions were originally scheduled to play their home games at Pepperell, but have had to adjust due to weather-related issues.
