Rain and the potential for more rain throughout the day on Friday has led Gordon Lee school officials to postpone tonight's fooball season opener with Ridgeland. The Armuchee/Trion and Unity Christian versus Faith Covenant Academy games have also been moved to Saturday.

The game will be played tomorrow night, Saturday, Aug. 29, with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m.

Also, according to the Armuchee High School Web site, tonight's game between Armuchee and Trion, scheduled to be played at 7:30 at Trion, has been moved to Saturday night at 7:30 at Trion.

Unity Christian's game has been changed to Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m.. The game will be played at Calhoun High School.

Tonight's forecast calls for a 50 percent chance of rain as all of our local teams will hit the gridiron except for Ringgold, which has a bye week before facing Murphy, NC next week.
